Merengue

Went dancing with Colleen at Club Caliente last night. We went early to take in the dance lesson. Last night was merengue. Colleen and I learned some latin dances while in cuba in April, but missed out on the merengue lessons. you could tell. By the end of the hour we had the basic turns down but not much else. haha oh well. it was alot of fun if nothing else. stayed til the dance floor cleared and then headed home.

Ran errands today in preparation for the Ecuador trip. I walked to kings to talk to the registrar about the possibility of still being able to graduate on time even though i will be out of country for first semester. She was very unhelpful at first, but by the end she gave me a few possibilities to look into. Looks like in order to graduate on time I will have to stay longer than the original two months I had planned on staying in Quito. I would write my honors project while there, as well as completing a six week distance workshop. It all has to be approved, first by the head of the school and then by one of the profs in the online journalism or print departments. It would likely mean 4 months in ecuador. I hope it goes through! The registrar made it sound like an inconvienince to extend my trip but personally I cant imagine a better place to complete my thesis paper than on the beaches of Ecuador.

Looked into flights today. I think sarah and I will fly into miami first, then take a flight from Miami to Quito. I love Miami. Might look into staying a few nights before flying out.

Tonight I think Im going out to a party on the tall ship "Silva" down on the waterfront.....depending on how quickly I can pack and get ready....

Tomorrow morning sarah and I are off to Moncton for a weekend promotion. Its a short trip. We'll be back late sunday night, then have two all day promotions for WCB monday and tuesday. Its shaping up to be a busy week!
