The small community of Shayari is one of the few places in Sucumbios province where tourists can go and learn about the culture of the Quichua.

Shayari has some interesting things to offer to visitors. Through hikes and naturwalks you will find out what life in the rainforest is like.

The local guide will explain all the wonders of the jungle, including medicinal plants, trees and animals living in the rainforest. The community cares about their surrounding and has developed a small animal rescuecenter to take care of injured and/ or endangered species. It is also a great place to learn more about the animals you can find in the area around Shayari.

Shayari is a special experience

0 of 1 people found the following review helpful
Shayari is real community ecotourism. They have done an amazing job putting together their tourism project and looking for ways to live sustainably and maintain their culture. The experience as a tourist is excellent and as a volunteer there is so much to contribute.
