Dear Gustavo, Director of Amazonas: I hope you receive this cordial greeting and that it finds you well. I would like to thank you for your hospitality and help during my month in Quito. As you already know, living in a foreign country can be difficult. However, I always felt welcome. If I had a problem, everyone on the staff would do everything they could to help me. I have learned more Spanish at your school than I could have learned in two semesters in my school in the US. In addition, you and your teachers have taught me so much about the rich culture of Ecuador. I did not like that I had to leave, and I would like to come back very soon. Thank again for helping me with this beautiful language and for sharing your marvellous country with me. With nothing further, I would like to tell everyone farewell although it be by means of this letter. Sincerely, Daniel Hightower from USA |
