Travel

President Correa has been under constant attack from the Ecuadorian Congress since taking office in January this year. He pledged to get dissolve Congress in an attempt to rid corruption from the nation. His support from the Ecuadorian public has been nothing short of outstanding with a report from the centre of Studies and Data suggesting that he had at one point 76% of the country behind him.

The support is, however, beginning to wane with the latest figures saying that he is now down to 54%. Just over half the country.

In his weekly radio broadcast, where he has repeatedly attacked Congress for their refusal to abide with his laws, it was revealed how much money he spent on propaganda during his presidential campaign. With some candidates using as little as $20,000 for the entire campaign Correa used in excess of $1 million, which is likely to upset many people.
