This office-based internship, offers the opportunity to develop an integrated administrative system for the foundation, from first email enquiries to billing and evaluation of services.

Assist the foundation in their administration tasks.

A biologist/naturalist to accompany groups on jungle tours, giving explanations in English and other languages to group. Small stipend offered.

Bosque de Paz is a long term project in Nature Restoration, initiatedand managed by Piet Sabbe and Olda Peralta. In 1995 they bought a smallproperty, a piece of land depleted of topsoil on a steep slope in the northernAndes of Ecuador. After many years of continuous planting they transformed thisdegraded land into a beautiful and healthy island of green, producing anabundance of tropical fruit. This internship involves working on the development and implementation of a framework for creating successful community-based ecotourism projects and a system for monitoring project progress. It will involve a mixture of office and field work.

Assist the local community in their development program of agroforestry and conservation techniques. The result will be a sustainable way of living for the community.

This internship will offer the chance to carry out field-based research on community-based ecotourism projects. The aim is to compile a list of projects with details of their stage of development, plan, facilities, personnel, inhibiting factors, etc.

This internship will involve developing educational materials in a variety of areas, such as basic health, nutrition, sanitation, hygiene, watershed management, waste management, recycling, etc. Finished materials will be used in poor urban and rural communities to develop better and sustainable practices.

Our small community is looking for your help in growing sustainable crops in the rainforest.

This project is to develop a model for sustainable development that can be used with indigenous communities. The concept is to take an integrated approach to sustainable development across all axes; cultural, environmental, health, education, sanitation, agricultural, and economic, and to create a participatory format through which the community can envision its future and work in a coordinated and integrated fashion towards realizing its plan.
