How much does an internship cost?

The cost of an internship in Ecuador can be surprisingly low. A student loan or student support by the government is usually easily enough to cover all costs during your internship in Ecuador. Living expenses in Ecuador are a lot lower than in western countries, so for most students there is no need to get paid for the internship.

An internship in Quito or Guayaquil is very affordable. $500 USD (€450 EURO) per month will cover all your expenses, including accommodation, food and enough pocketmoney to have a great time during your stay.

Make sure to ask your university or college about funding for your internship. There are several organisations willing to fund your experience in Ecuador.

For a European student it is more expensive to do an internship in America or most parts of Asia than it is to have an internship in Ecuador, regardless of the lack of pay.
