The Moving
Ecuador newspaper will provide travellers and tourists with contemporary
information on the happenings of Ecuador.
Many guides are published every four years more or less and go out of date within months of being made, so travellers towards the back end of the latest edition do not receive the best and most updated information in the country. We aim to combat that. The monthly newspaper is like any other you read everyday by providing all of the essential news, travel and sports gossip. The 24 page will be divided up into sections which will also include Culture, where we will be looking into festivals, food and dress. We will also ask interns to cover events across the country and research the histories into them. Many towns all over Ecuador have individual independence days for example and celebrate them every year in a big style. We want our journalist to find these questions out. The most important thing to remember about the stories is that we are here to promote responsible travel and help the locals as supposed to hinder them through imposing western ideals onto their habitats. We will make sure that people know what responsible travel is and how they can help improve demeanours so as not harm the environment that they are travelling in. The paper is serious about Latin-American news content as well, and so will have the main month's news content well towards the front pages. There will be good opportunities, once interns establish themselves, to find news stories The paper wants a full feature written every month as well which could be on any subject but will need to be fully investigated, contain plenty of detail, quotes and information. This will make our centre spread and we place huge value on it. We are a protean newspaper and are always interested to listen to new ideas and new angles on every aspect that we do, including the design of the paper. So long as we keep to the aim of ‘Moving Ecuador' the paper is open to suggestions. If you would like some more information about Moving Ecuador, please visit the about us section on this website or contact us.
